We are honoring Selena Quintanilla, the Queen of Tejano music, with a special Catrina on Selena Day, April 16, as part of our Tribute Collection.

Selena Day was established shortly after her tragic death in 1995 when Texas Governor George W. Bush declared her birthday as Selena Day in Texas. This recognition was a tribute to her significant impact on music and culture, acknowledging her as a symbol of South Texas culture.

Selena’s story is a poignant reminder of a bright star gone too soon but whose light continues to shine brightly.
