FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD | VILLA FINALE
Villa Finale invited the San Antonio community to an intimate and visually rich evening in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Living Heritage: A Dรญa de Muertos Presentation by Araminta Romero began with a reflection on the history and evolution of Dรญa de Muertos, one of Mexicoโs most cherished traditions. Through storytelling and cultural memory, guests learned how this celebration of life and remembrance has carried deep meaning across generations.
Building on this foundation, the program featured the Inspiring Heritage Collection, a video presentation by iLaCatrina that brings to life symbolic Catrina icons honoring Mexican identity and resilience. These visual narratives embody the icons, values, and shared memories that make this tradition endure.
The evening shifted into artistry with a live glam Catrina makeup tutorial, revealing how beauty and symbolism come together to transform models into living expressions of heritage.
Designer Araminta Romero, Creative Director of iLaCatrina, guided the evening, sharing the inspiration behind her work, her creative journey, and the significance of keeping Dรญa de Muertos alive through fashion and performance. Romeroโs cultural fashion project has been featured on international stages including New York Fashion Week, the Liberty Hotel in Boston, and landmark venues throughout San Antonio.
