CEMPASUCHIL

Catrina Cempasuchil (from the Nahuatl word Cempasuchitl) is a luminous homage to one of Mexicoโ€™s most revered flowers.

Our very own interpretation of the marigold Catrina, Catrina Cempasuchil (from the Nahuatl word Cempasuchitl) is a luminous homage to one of Mexicoโ€™s most revered flowers. For the Aztecs, the cempasuchil was more than a bloom, it was the sunโ€™s reflection on earth, a bridge between the living and the dead. Known as the โ€œflower of twenty petals,โ€ it has guided souls for centuries with its golden hue and intoxicating fragrance, lighting their journey home during Dรญa de Muertos.

This radiant icon joins the Mystical Offerings collection as a new creation of iLaCatrinaยฎ. Her gown and presence capture the warmth and brilliance of marigolds in full bloom. In her hands, she carries an offering shaped like the center of the Aztec Sun Stone, encircled by sunflowers and cempasuchil blossoms. This symbolic arrangement embodies the eternal cycle of life, the light that dispels darkness, and the enduring memory that binds generations together.

Catrina Cempasuchil is both a vision of beauty and a vessel of cultural memory, a living celebration of Mexicoโ€™s ancestral connection to the sun, the earth, and the spirits who return to us each year.
